Biography

Graduate in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan, Marco D’Elia began his professional career in the ICT sector during his studies, in 1988, as an analyst and IBM programmer for an IT company of which he was a limited partner.

This experience was followed, from 1992 to 1999, by the role of Account Manager in the ICT infrastructure sales division within NCR Italia for the Finance market.

After few years in Marconi Communications as Channel Sales Manager of the Enterprise division for the coordination of partners in Southern Europe, in 2001 Marco joined SAP Italy as Global Account Manager in the commercial Banking division and then in the Large Enterprise, Industry Manufacturing division; in 2004 he became Channel Manager of the new Small Medium Enterprise division and was then promoted to Sales Manager of the Small Enterprise Business Unit. 

He joined Sophos Italia in May 2008 as Sales Manager in charge of the Commercial Business Unit for the Centre-North area, and was appointed Country Manager Italia in 2009.

Marco D’Elia is now in charge of managing the Italian subsidiary, which has recently been incorporated into the Southern Europe division, and coordinating sales strategies for the Italian market with the perspective to progressively expanding the business segments and developing operational synergies to an international level.
