Privacy Policy – Registration to the event Cybersec2022

Privacy Policy pursuant to Art. 13, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council

NOW Italia S.r.l., publisher of Cybersecurity talia – Cybersec2022 (hereinafter referred to as “NOW Italia” or the “Company”), pursuant to Art. 13, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to processing of personal data (hereinafter referred to as “EU Regulation”), wishes to inform you that, to proceed with your request to register for our event Cybersec2022, the Company needs to process the personal data you provided by completing the registration form (hereinafter referred to as the “Form”) present on the website https://www.cybersec2022.it (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”).

1. DATA CONTROLLER
The Data Controller is the company NOW Italia S.r.l., in the name of its legal representative, with address for service in Ancona, Via Santo Stefano 27, Italy (hereinafter referred to as the “Data Controller”).

2. PURPOSES AND LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
The personal data processed by NOW Italia are exclusively those you provided upon completion of the Form, and namely your first name and surname, email address, company name and company role, as well as your areas of expertise. Your personal data will be processed exclusively for the following purposes:

A – to enable your registration to the event Cybersec2022.
The legal basis for this processing is your explicit consent to the processing.

B – to allow us to disclose to our event partners the personal data you have used for registration, for their direct marketing purposes.

3. PERSONAL DATA STORAGE PERIOD
The Data Controller will retain your personal data for a period not longer than that necessary to achieve the purposes for which they are collected and processed. As it is not possible to determine the exact storage period, NOW Italia undertakes from now on to base the processing of your personal data on the principles of adequacy, relevance and minimisation of the data, as required by the EU Regulation, by checking annually the need for their storage. This is without prejudice to the case in which we will need to retain such data in order to comply with regulatory obligations, or to ascertain, exercise or defend our rights in court.

4. CATEGORIES OF RECIPIENTS OF THE PERSONAL DATA
The data processed shall not be disclosed to third parties. However, for the fulfilment of the above-mentioned purposes, your personal data may be disclosed to:

  • those who can access data in accordance with legal obligations under Union or a Member State Law to which the Data Controller is subject;
  • those who perform, in complete autonomy, within the borders of the European Union, activities related to the activities and services mentioned in paragraph 2, as separate Data Controllers, as well as Data Controllers appointed to this end by NOW Italia, or also insurance companies, law firms, companies providing computer assistance and consultancy as well as design and implementation of software and/or websites, postal services, companies offering communication services, service centres, companies or consultants responsible for providing services to the Data Controller, within the limits of the purposes for which they were collected;
  • if you consent to this specific processing, our event partners for their purposes of direct marketing. In addition, your personal data may be also disclosed to our employees, provided that they have been previously designated as persons acting under the authority of the Data Controller, according to Art. 29 of the EU Regulation or as System Administrator. Any disclosure of your personal data will be done in full compliance with the legal provisions of the EU Regulation and the technical and organisational measures adopted by NOW Italia to ensure an appropriate level of security.

5. TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA TO THIRD COUNTRIES
The Data Controller does not intend to transfer your personal data to third countries. The entire processing of personal data, in fact, takes place within the borders of Italy, or, in some limited cases, within those of the Union.

6. AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING PROCESSES
The Data Controller does not intend to use any automated decision-making processes, including profiling, as per Article 22, paragraphs 1 and 4, of the EU Regulation. Therefore, the Data Controller deems it not necessary to provide information regarding the logic involved, nor on the relevance and consequences of this type of processing for the data subject.

7. NATURE OF THE PROVISIONURA DEL CONFERIMENTO
The provision of your personal data for the purposes set out in paragraph 2.A is voluntary, but failure to authorise their processing may prevent NOW Italia from proceeding with your registration to our event. The provision of your personal data for the purposes set out in paragraph 2.B is voluntary, but failure to authorise their processing, whilst not preventing you from registering to our event, may result in our being unable to provide you with up-to-date information on direct marketing activities from our event partners.

8. RIGHT OF THE DATA SUBJECT
With regard to the processing of your personal data, in accordance with the GDPR, as data subject, you have the right to:

  • Withdraw your consent to the processing at any time;
  • Request access to your personal data from the Data Controller;
  • Obtain from the Data Controller the rectification and completion of your personal data when incomplete;
  • Obtain from the Data Controller the erasure of your personal data, if applicable;
  • Obtain from the Data Controller the restriction of the processing of your personal data, if applicable;
  • Exercise your right to personal data portability;
  • Object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data;
  • Not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing,
    including profiling;
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Article 77) or before the competent courts (Article 79), if you consider that your rights, according to the GDPR, have been infringed as a result of the processing.
